Essential Information for Visa
Visitors who wish to apply for Tourist Visa to Nepal must fill an online visa application form available at the following portal:
All the personal details to be filled and the required documents to be submitted for the visa are clearly indicated in the above-mentioned portal.
A confirmation slip will be generated at the end of the online application process. Visa applicants are requested to visit the Embassy on working days (Monday-Friday) from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm with their original passport and the confirmation slip.
Normally it takes one working day for issuance of visa from this Embassy. However, applicants will be notified about the issuance date while applying for the visa. Applicants should pay visa fee in cash while applying for the visa. Personal cheques are not accepted.
Visitors who wish to acquire visa from the Embassy of Nepal, Vienna, but are unable to visit the Embassy in person may apply through the Post. Such applicants should fill up the online application form and send their original passport along with the confirmation slip generated from the portal to the Embassy via post. Apart from the requirements mentioned above, such applicants are also required to send a self-addressed strong envelope affixed with sufficient postage stamp so that the Embassy can return passport/s to their respective addresses.
Applicants applying by-post from countries other than Austria may advise a courier service to collect the passport from the Embassy. In case that is not practical they must include additional amount (approx. Euro 10 in our calculation; applicants are advised to consult with the local Post Office regarding this matter), while depositing the visa fee, sufficient to cover the return postal charge. The charge of international transfer by the banks should be borne by the applicant.
Applicants applying through post are required to deposit/ bank transfer the visa fee (and postal charge, if applied) to the bank account of this Embassy and enclose the relevant bank paper with the confirmation slip. Personal cheques are not accepted.

The rates of visa fee are as follows:
|15 days Multiple Entry||Euro 30.00|
|30 days Multiple Entry||Euro 50.00|
|90 days Multiple Entry||Euro 125.00|
Children under ten years old will get visa free of charge (Conditions may apply).
Visa once issued can’t be withdrawn, visa fee cannot be refunded, and it must be used within six months from the date of issue.
Diplomatic and Official Visa-
The Embassy issues visa for foreign diplomatic and official passport holders for a maximum of 30 days period.
When applying for a Diplomatic or Official Visa, applicants should fill up the online application form available at the above mentioned portal and visit the Embassy with the following documents:
-Original Diplomatic or Official Passport with at least six months’ validity.
-Confirmation Slip generated from the online visa application portal.
– Original Note -Verbale with recommendation from the concerned Ministry of Foreign Affair, Diplomatic Mission, or International Organizations.
